Who else picked Zach Johnson?

As most of you are well aware of Zach Johnson won the most prestigious prize in golf with a MASTERful performance on Sunday. He fired a final round 69 when shooting even par at Augusta was considered to be a good score this year. To give you an idea of how difficult the course was playing all week. Tiger Woods didn’t break par once in any of his rounds and +1 was the winning score.

It was a shock to everyone here at our office and I am sure it was to mostly everyone around the world. The only person that saw this coming was probably Zach Johnson himself. Congratulations Zach Johnson! Thanks for making the 2007 Masters one to remember.

Here is a recap on how our office picks did in the 2007 Masters:
(I wish we could say we picked Zach Johnson but I didn’t happen.)

Adam Scott – T27
KJ Choi – T27
Tiger Woods – T2
Henrik Stenson – T17
Camilo Villegas – MC

Did you know?

Zach Johnson hit 80.36% of fairways (2nd best) and had 15 Birdies (tied for 2nd most). However, he was 4th to LAST in driving distance ahead of only Ben Crenshaw, C. Stadler and “The Mechanic” – Migel Jimenez. Proving once again that being longer off the tee is not necessary better but hitting fairways is the key to success.
